Apr. 29, 2017 JoAnn Hackos Retired?

On Apr. 29 2017, I got a message that JoAnn Hackos of Comtech and CIDM had retired. I have covered her events for years, with pictures going back decades. I consider it an honor that we are both STC Fellows. Her last event apparently was at last week’s CMS/DITA North America  Conference in San Diego,  called “Nightmare on collaboration street” with her and Casey Jordan. I learned a great deal from Hackos, like how to build a network to carry on your mission long after you are gone.

As for me, I absolutely, positively will not stop.

Note: Howdy Longmonties!

She talked about “The OASIS DITA Standard: What does it mean for content creators and localization experts?”

Afterwards Componize CTO Frank Shipley presented “Using A DITA CMS to Better Understand and Manage your Content.” Later there was a Componize Tools & Training Session on how it can be used for DITA XML content.
