On Monday, January 21, 2013 at the IHOP Restaurant in Santa Clara, the STC Silicon Valley chapter hosted Jeff Johnson, Principal Consultant at UI Wizards who presented “Designing What to Design: A Task-Focused Conceptual Model.”

Also announced were Silicon Valley chapter winners of the Touchstone Awards. Gillian Flato won for “Preparing Files for RoboHelp and Publishing to RoboHelp Server.” Ealasaid Haas won for “Adaptive Discovery User Guide.” Nathaniel Lim won for “How to Become a Wood Badge Staff Member.” Marjorie Lynch-Freshner won for “Learn to Use Ant in the DITA Open Toolkit.”

Many talked about the upcoming TC Camp on Saturday January 26, 2013 at Silicon Valley Cloud Center, 222 Caspian Dr, Sunnyvale, CA 94089-1014.

The next STC Silicon Valley chapter meeting will be on Monday February 18, 2013 at Harry’s Hofbrau 1909 El Camino Real, Redwood City, CA 94063 (650) 366-3733. Linda Urban will present “Topic-based Authoring: Why Bother?”
