Nobel Prize for 401k

On October 8, 2008 in Stockholm Sweden the Nobel Prize committee announced a special joint award for physics and economics. Astrophysicist Boris Noguchi of the University of Tampa Bay and economist Homer Dweez of the University North Dakota at Hoople were notified of their winning. Using a special electron microscope equipped with something called “nano-accounting” software, they were able to see the retirement and savings plans of most Americans.

Economist Dweez explained. “We took the financial histories of millions of Americans and loaded them into a really big spreadsheet. I typed in the word ‘savings” and hit Search.”

Noguchi was reached at his laboratory. “It wasn’t easy. You have to look past the larger expenses like monster mansions and SUVs. Occasionally you would see something that looked like savings but it was an unused coupon or change in their sofas. We found a few trace amounts but theorize most of the savings could be in a black hole”

They plan to take the prize money and put it in a mattress.
