Green Moments
You know what the future is going to be like by little things I call green moments.

Trains On Time

A company moved their offices close to a train station so workers could commute without driving their cars. I sat in their boardroom and listened to their presentations. Every fifteen minutes a train would rumble by sounding its horn. This kept the presentations short, to about fourteen minutes. It is nice to know that when the trains run on time, meetings do too. Lights Out

I sat at another meeting and while people were talking the lights went out in the conference room. We took to waving our arms every few minutes to set off the motion detectors. It was hard to tell who wanted to speak and who wanted the lights on. Text from DJCline.com

Midnight Bike Ride

Late one night I drove home and saw dozens of restaurant workers pedaling their way home on bicycles. They said they did not have drivers licenses and could not afford to drive a car. It was very hard to see them in the dark as they were not wearing any reflective clothing. They were visible mainly because a few of them smoked and the light of their cigarettes flared like fireflies in the summer night.

Tears For Fuel

A women at a gas station went through three credit cards and cried as she filled up her car. Text from DJCline.com

Have you seen any green moments?
