Refrigerator Meltdown (or Goodbye Cool World) Text from DJCline.com.

My refrigerator wasn’t refrigerating very well. It died on a Saturday morning surrounded by it’s loving appliances. Fortunately we are in the aftermath of one of the biggest home improvement crazes in American history. I can picked up a brand new energy efficient stainless steel refrigerator for a song. It is big enough for Walt Disney to hold a Thanksgiving turkey.

The bad news is that the new fridge couldn’t be delivered until Monday morning. The solution is to have a big party and blow out all the odd stuff you froze but forgot about. Time to eat those eggrolls and tamales with that brick of spinach you never got around to cooking.

It is a little startling to walk into the kitchen and see this humming sarcophogus. It’s like the monolith from Kubrick’s 2001 Space Odyssey. You open it and say “OMG, it’s full of leftovers!”

Having lived without refrigeration, it is nice to have ice.

I’ve always enjoyed a refrigerator with flip-down center seats. Very nice for those hot summer nights.
