The Life Of A Twentieth-Century Reporter
By Howard K. Smith Text stolen from DJCline.com.
I don’t know how anyone ever managed to twist the image of reporters who grew up poor during the Great Depression in the American South and covered WWII firsthand as members of the wealthy liberal media elite. Smith’s experiences were hard won and well-earned. It was lucky he wasn’t killed on his honeymoon.
The man paid his dues and is worth reading.
