The Mysterious Life of Moe Berg

By Nicholas Dawidoff

There was a reference to Mo Berg on Fox TV series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. I happened to know the story but here is a biography that explains it in more detail.

Moe Berg came from a brilliant family and spoke several languages. He went to study Law at Princeton. He was a superb athlete and played professional baseball in the 1920s and 30’s. During the WWII he joined the OSS and was sent to track down German physicist Werner Heisenberg. Berg had orders to kill Heisenberg if necessary but he became friends instead. His baseball card is on display at CIA Headquarters in Langley.

Not a happy book but interesting nonetheless.
